- Presentation of "Living for the City. Social Change and Knowledge Production in the Central African Copperbelt" by Historian Miles Larmer (University of Oxford).


- Presentation of "Inside Mining Capitalism. The Micropolitics of Work on the Congolese and Zambian Copperbelts" by Anthropologist Benjamin Rubbers (ULG/ULB-LAMC).


- Discussion by Historian Gillian Mathys (Ghent University) and Anthropologist Joël Noret (ULB-LAMC)


- Debate 

The idea behind this double book launch is to develop a cross discussion between historians and anthropologists about their approaches to social change in Africa, and the significance of the Central African Copperbelt in this endeavour.
